Our Story

Welstays, a pioneering venture, began its journey under the umbrella of Negotrip Private Limited. Founded in 2017 by Kamakshya Prasad Nayak, with Biswa Bhusan Pradhan as co-founder, Negotrip started as a travel company aiming to simplify holiday package bookings. However, the unforeseen COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted the tourism industry just as their web portal was nearing completion. To make matters worse, their third-party web developer failed to deliver the source code, leading to a consumer case against them.

Amid these challenges, Biswa Bhusan Pradhan resigned to start his own venture, leaving Kamakshya Prasad Nayak to reimagine the company's future. Sensing an emerging trend, Kamakshya pivoted towards wellness tourism, birthing the Welstays platform. Initially tailored for wellness tourists, Welstays soon expanded to include adventure and nature tourism, ensuring a comprehensive experience.

The platform began with bookings for a selected band of properties, but soon evolved into branding and directly booking properties under the Welstays name. Recognizing the demand for stand-alone services, Welstays introduced dedicated modules for Ayurvedic therapies, adventure activities, and self-drive bike/car rentals under the name Activities/Services. Additionally, the company has started leasing properties to promote them under the Welstays brand, cementing its position as a leader in wellness and adventure tourism.
